Contact SPOT

We have continually worked to ensure that direct services to students were preserved in the face of budget cuts and that Arlington school and town administrators develop a clear list of priorities.  

The SPOT organizing committee meets regularly to coordinate the work of SPOT on the school budget, state budget advocacy, and outreach and education. For organizing committee matters, contact SPOT at contact@thinkofourkids.org.

SPOT's Current Projects

SPOT seeks to increase awareness and community involvement in public school-related issues. Our objectives include:::

  • Educate parents and community members about current federal, state, and local budget crisis and its impact on public education in Arlington and facilitate community interaction with town administrators and elected officials.  
  • Encourage core values that support diversity and respect.
  • Increase membership in ThinkofourKids Discussion Forum.
  • Hold Organizing Committee meetings, where we examine current issues and plan strategy to raise community awareness about budget. .
